This is a really great school. They are all about learning and the students must work hard to keep up. They do get an exemplary education. I do see why some would be upset if their child cannot or does not keep the pace. I believe this is what is needed to compete today but it is much more intense than my high school days. Parent involvement is exceptional. There are many tutoring options if your child needs extra help. The teachers are fairly accommodating and understand the demand placed on the children. The focus is definitely preparation for college.

I would never recommend this school to anyone let alone this state or city- what kind of school doesn t get parent involvement when asked and what type of school decides they are going to make their own decisions about your child? The last I heard is that their parents right not the school to decided whatever they want behind parents back... School only looks good because of the test scores and no other reason and the school should really consider the way the treat parents... FYI Cy-Fair, I do care about my son's education and a sorry doesnt resolve this situation (not that i was even given that)

CyFair H.S. is like an old tradition in CyFair area, and the families and kids love and keep loyalty to this wonderful H.S. We had two daughters there currently and they are happy with their school. Helpful teachers and great administration. BFND.

Cy-Fair is the best school in the district. Compared to the other schools, our scores are higher, our teams score better, and our schools are much more peaceful. I will be a senior next year and I have never even heard of gang related violence, drug-dealing, or sexual abuse at my school. If you have the choice, choose Cy-Fair.

Sadly, Some of the students have disinterested parents. This compromises the ability of the school to perform up it's potential. Excellent teachers here, who despite daily obstacles, give 110%. The German teacher is a prime example. We have left the district because of the horrors at Millsap Elementary. Cy-Fair High School is will be doing a lot of clean up for many years to come.

As a rising senior who has attended Cy-Fair High School for the past three years, I am thrilled with the way everything's gone. As an active member in many extra-curricular activities, I feel it is a good prepratory environment for any college-bound student, with great options in clubs and sports and a sense of self-reliance and independence unique to this school.

As a parent of a 2005 & 2007 graduate, I am very satisfied with Cy-Fair HS. We have lived in the district for over 17 years and have watched it grow and have seen good & bad, overall this is a good school district and Cy-Fair HS is a very good high school. I have been reading all the reviews and I think many of the parents who wrote in are expecting the teachers to raise and discipline our children, instead of teaching. What happened to parents doing the raising & disciplining and the teachers teaching?! My daughters has received a great education from Cy-Fair (academically & socially) and it's because of the teachers.

My daughter graduated from CyFair High School in 2005 and my 8th grade son is getting ready to enter CyFair. I fear, because of the overcrowded school that he will as my daughter did, get lost in the crowd. If you as a parent do not live at the school volunteering and making donations, your child does not have a chance in sports due to All of the politics. Very scary and very sad!

The principals should be aware of the poor quality and attention give to good students. I am disapponted by the 'class of individuals' chosen to care for our kids!

Cy-fair highschool is basically a good school, the majority of the faculty are good people but there are problems concerning discipline, and behind the outside apearance of it being a great school it has a lot to hide, there are problems , the school is so good academically that it ends up hurting a lot of students because it is so competitive, and its very hard to get used to if moving in from the outside as the class size is very large

This is our first year at Cy-Fair H.S. Nine weeks into the school year we are very disappointed. There is not enough supervision going on at this school! I'm not sure what the teachers are doing between classes, but they need to monitor the halls.

I myself graduated from Cy-Fair in 1984, Many of the same staff members are still at the school. My son and I had the same algebra teacher.I love the history of this school. There is incredible spirit, a devoted staff, many of my children's class ratio's are smaller than private schools. At open house recently, the majority of my kids teacher's had over 20 years experince. There are problems at every school, when teenagers are invoved, but Ms.Medford and staff always handle issues with wisdom.I have a freshman and a sophmore and they both love the school.Parent invovement is very good.
